Dr. Feickert Woodpecker Turntable
Dr. Feickert Woodpecker Turntable
The challenge was to rethink the way turntables were made. The bar has been set extremely high with previous models in the Dr. Feickert range. With a great deal of fine-tuning, Dr. Fieckert’s team was able to get the correct interaction of only one mass layer with the chassis. At the same time, ‘ease of use’ features were incorporated, like a sliding arm base and pivot-spindle scale. Analogue aficionados are now able to change tonearms within a couple of minutes, allowing for a quicker tonearm setup. The result is a brand new design that where the elegance of analogue reproduction meets incredible sound performance while remaining approachable and easy to use.
The Dr. Feickert Woodpecker Turntable features a solid base and high mass platter, Woodpecker is able to take a wide variety of tonearms and offers plenty of easy adjustment. Woodpeckers motor is capable of playing at 33, 45 and 78 speeds.
Dr. Feickert has managed to distil the performance of its iconic models and fit the similar incredible performance into the Woodpecker. A refinement of their well-proven bearing design, platter and high torque motor was fitted into a new chassis. The result is a finely made, no-compromise instrument.
