And that’s exactly how it was with our first tonearm—it felt like a project that would never end. After all, from the initial concept to the finished product, a tonearm is, after all, a complex endeavor…. We wanted it to be an affordable yet excellent product, because in our opinion there are simply far too many very expensive—and for the most part excellent—tonearms that are well beyond the “reach” of the majority of customers. That’s what we’re known for, and we’re not ones to go overboard with exotic components and materials. Solid, robust, versatile—that was the driving force behind the design. And so, unfortunately, it took years instead of the few months that had been planned. The result is a design that can truly be called classic. Gimbal mounting, traditional and reliable adjustment of the tracking force via the counterweight, elegant compensation of skating forces via a lever mechanism, and—last but not least—the ability to adjust or compensate for the stylus azimuth.
